Art Competition And Road Safety Awareness Program Held In Dharmanagar.

Dharmanagar, Tripura, 15th of June 2026 : With the aim of preventing road accidents and increasing public awareness about traffic rules, a special Art Competition cum Road Safety Awareness Program was organized on Sunday (14th June, 2026) at the Dharmanagar Kalibari premises.

The event was jointly organized by the Dharmanagar Traffic Unit and the State Bank of India, Dharmanagar Branch. Students from various educational institutions participated in the program and conveyed important road safety messages through their paintings.The competition highlighted key aspects of road safety, including obeying traffic signals, wearing helmets, fastening seat belts, avoiding mobile phone use while driving, and refraining from driving under the influence of alcohol.Among those present at the event were Traffic Department DSP Debajyoti Sinha, Dharmanagar Police Station SI Manoj Pal, Traffic Department ASI Atika Ranjan Das, along with several distinguished guests, police personnel, and traffic department officials.

Addressing the gathering, the officials urged citizens and students to become more aware of road safety measures. Traffic DSP Debajyoti Sinha stated that administrative efforts alone are not sufficient to prevent road accidents; citizens must also develop a mindset of following traffic regulations. He emphasized that instilling road safety education and awareness among children from an early age can significantly reduce accidents in the future.

At the conclusion of the program, participants were encouraged for their involvement, and various road safety messages were disseminated with a call to build a safer and more responsible society. The guests expressed hope that such initiatives would play a vital role in shaping future generations into responsible citizens.
