Agartala, Tripura, 26th of March 2025 : There are presently 86 agencies operating in the State to supply cooking gas cylinders. Out of these, 81 are under Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), 3 under Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) and two are under private companies. This information was given by Hon’ble Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport and Tourism minister Sushanta Chowdhury in a written reply to a question by MLA Nirmal Biswas in in the Assembly Budget Session 2025-26 on the 4th day at Tripura Legislative Assembly, Agartala, Tripura. He said that presently, IOCL authorities have taken the initiative to open agencies in 7 more places in the state.
