Agartala, Tripura, 28th of March 2025 : The second half of the Assembly session on the 6th day at Tripura Legislative Assembly, Agartala, Tripura on Friday (28th March, 2025) passed a proposal for an expenditure allocation of Rs 32,423.44 crore for the financial year 2025-26. Finance Minister Pranjit Singha Roy had presented the proposal for this expenditure allocation for the financial year 2025-26 for the approval of the Assembly on March 21. After the general discussion on the proposed budget ended today, 73 retrenchment proposals moved by the opposition members were rejected by a voice vote. MLAs Gopal Chandra Roy and Sudip Roy Barman spoke in support of the retrenchment proposal. After the retrenchment proposal was rejected, the proposals for the expenditure allocation raised for the financial year 2025-26 were passed by a voice vote.
