Agartala, 10th of January 2024 : The Central Government has given approval to 57 schools in the state for the PM Schools for Rising India (PM SHRI) project in the first phase. A total of ₹ 2623.77 lakh has been sanctioned by the Project Approval Board of the Union Ministry of Education for the financial year 2023-24. Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha gave this information in a reply to a question of MLA Shailendra Chandra Nath during the question and answer session in the Legislative Assembly 4th day on Wednesday (10th January, 2024). The Chief Minister also added that in the second phase, 48 schools have been selected at the state level to be brought under PM SHRI schools and sent for approval at the national level.
