New Delhi, Delhi, 9th of November, 2024 : Although the air quality of Delhi is always bad, but every year before Diwali the level of pollution increases here. Due to this rising pollution, people have to face many types of diseases. Breathing in this polluted air weakens your lungs and you have to face difficulties in breathing anywhere inside or outside the house. We all are responsible for this pollution, but reducing it is not in the power of a single person, so everyone has to make efforts together for this. But until the pollution does not reduce, you can protect your health by adopting Ayurvedic methods.
Asha Ayurveda director and gynecologist Dr. Chanchal Sharma says in this regard that this poisonous air can make even a healthy person sick, in such a situation the risk increases for those who already have any problem like heart disease, lung related problem or asthma. You can adopt these Ayurvedic tips for your protection:
Drink herbal tea in the morning and evening
As pollution increases, particulate matter and carbon in the air starts increasing, which gets deposited in your lungs after breathing. To clean it, you can make herbal tea at home and drink it. Grind basil, cinnamon, dry ginger, ginger etc. and boil it in water with jaggery and consume it regularly in the morning and evening. This herbal tea will prove helpful in purifying your entire body.
Raisins and black pepper to clear throat
If you want to keep your throat clean, then regularly roast a raisin, wrap it with black pepper and rock salt and put it under your molars and suck it. By doing this, both your lungs and throat will be cleared.
Drink turmeric milk
To avoid pollution in such weather and to increase your immunity, boil milk with raw turmeric every night before sleeping, add a little jaggery to it and drink it. By doing this your immunity gets strengthened. You cannot leave the city seeing the increasing pollution, so you have to adopt such methods by which you can protect yourself while living here.
Take steam
Dr. Chanchal Sharma tells in this regard that at this time due to both weather change and pollution, people have a double effect and they easily fall prey to cold and cough. In such a situation, for your protection, you can take steam by adding celery in hot water. While taking steam, keep in mind that your body is well covered and the fan, etc. should be turned off so that you can sweat.
Neem
All of you must be well aware of the properties of neem. It absorbs polluted air from the environment around it, so you can put neem twigs or bunches of leaves in your house. You can also eat neem leaves, it purifies your blood.
