Khowai, Tripura, 3rd of September, 2025 : About two months ago, the Baijalbari Police Station under Khowai Sub-division was inaugurated by the state DG. As usual, after the inauguration of a new police station, the post of Officer-in-Charge (OC) of this police station has been assigned to the experienced Jugal Tripura. After Jugal Babu got the post of OC, the Khowai subdivision police is getting great success in terms of working responsibly.
Traffickers involved in the smuggling trade are living a troubled life. The Baijalbari Police, led by OC Jugal Tripura, are successfully seizing smuggled goods every day. In the same way, late last night, based on a secret operation, they seized a car carrying about 70 ft wood from the Pagla Bari area under Baijalbari Police station.
According to report, OC Jugal Tripura and the forest department officials said that they arrested two persons from Paglabari area in a Bolero pickup truck bearing number TR06C1738, for allegedly transporting wood. These two are Nitish Debnath and Bimal Debbarma. According to sources the market value of the wood seized is around lakhs. The OC said that such operations will continue in the coming days.
