Dharmanagar, Tripura, 14th of February, 2026 : The election of the Bar Council of Tripura was conducted peacefully across the state today. As part of the statewide polling process, voting in Dharmanagar began at 9:00 AM and continued smoothly until 3:00 PM, as scheduled, according to election department sources.As per available reports, approximately 151 voters had exercised their franchise by 2:00 PM. Advocates from Kanchanpur and Panisagar subdivisions also arrived at the designated polling station in Dharmanagar to cast their votes. Sources further informed that a total of 110 votes were cast at the Dharmanagar center.

Meanwhile, three representatives were elected unopposed. They are Madhumita Chowdhury, Priyanka Majumdar, and Rajshree Purkayastha.On the other hand, Radhakanta Das, Convenor of the BJP Legal Cell (District), expressed optimism regarding the victory of their candidate, Sudarshan Sharma. He stated that they are confident of securing a decisive win.Overall, the peaceful conduct of the election process has been welcomed by members of the legal fraternity, who expressed satisfaction over the smooth proceedings.
