Agartala, Tripura, 15th of April 2026 : Bengali New Year (Poila Baisakh) Celebration, Ritual among to offer puja to Goddess Laxmi and Lord Ganesha, seeking happiness and prosperity for the coming year. On the Auspicious occasion of Bengali New Year a large number of devotees gathered at Laxmi Narayan Temple in Agartala, Tripura today (15th April, 2026).
On the onset of the New Year, various business enterprise opens its new ledger book the New Halkhata. New accounts book opened to start writing in New Year, are being worshipped on auspicious day of Naba Barsha or Poila Baisakh (Bengali New Year) at Laxmi Narayan Temple in Agartala.
