The newly constructed church St. James Catholic Church under Mahar Para parish in Sontang village under Taidu PS in Gomati Tripura has been Inaugurated today. On this auspicious occasion a large number of local catholic believers as well as believers from places have assembled in this new church promises and took participation in the inauguration programme. In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries of the Catholic congregation Bishop Lumen Monteiro has inaugurated the church building by cutting the ribbon.
Thanking the lord for his grace Bishop Lumen Monteiro addressed the church members and said, “The lord is gracious to you all and through his immense grace we have obtained this beautiful church building here in Sontang village. This church will shine the life of the local believers and create peace and prosperity amidst the locals. Onward now all disciples of the lord will have the opportunity to accomplish all kinds of ecclesiastical activities smoothly and cherish themselves with christian faith & religion.” Amidst the other distinguished participants there were Fr. Arbok CSC, Fr. Alfred CSC, holy cross sister staff and many others remained present in the programme. At the end of the programme a feast has been given for all participants in this new church promises. The local Kaipeng believers were found happy to have this new church building in their village.
