On the occasion of 83rd anniversary of CRPF, 124 Bn CRPF organized a blood donation  camp today i.e. on 1st July, 2022 at 1030 hours at unit Head Quarter, CRPF, Salbagan, Agartala, Tripura in the presence of Prasenjit Biswas, IFS (Retd) General Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society. Mukesh Taygi, Commandant 124 Bn CRPF inaugurated the Blood Donation camp. The blood donation camp was organized under the supervision of Unit GDMO- Dr. Rakesh  Chakravarty with other medical staff of 124 BN, CRPF & with Co-ordination of Red Cross Society of India, Tripura. 

This was done with the aim to serve human mankind and to bring awareness among men.  Donating blood is not only helping a needy but also save a precious life every year. Transfusion of blood saves millions of life all over the World. Every citizen has a responsibility towards the society. Mukesh Taygi, Commandant appreciated to Jawans and officers for their initiative and for willing participation in blood donation camp. Vijay Shankar 2-I/C, 124 Bn, CRPF, Anand Kumar Tripathi, Dy. Commandant, K Ojit Kumar Singh, Dy Comdt, Dr. Rakesh Chakravarty, GDMO, and other officers of 124 Bn also donated blood voluntarily total – 120 men have donated equal No of blood unit today. 

Mukesh Taygi, Commandant also pointed out certain misconception in the mind of common man about blood donation. He emphasised on the following : 

1. The blood you donate gives someone another chance to life. 
2. To donate blood you need neither extra strength nor extra food, but one will save a life for sure. 
3. If you’re a blood donor, you’re a hero to someone, somewhere, who received your gracious gift of life. 
4. He also informed that till 83rd raising day of CRPF i.e 27th july-2022 there will sequence of events be organized by the unit like Tree plantation, Games, Other Civic action programmes which has been initiated to-day by organizing blood donation camp.
