Blood Donation Camp Organized By Vivekananda Byamagar.

Agartala, Tripura, 28th of September, 2024 : With the initiative of Vivekananda Byamagar blood donation camp has been conducted on the occasion of Vivekananda Byamagar’s 75^th anniversary at Vivekananda Bhyamagar premises, Gangail Road, Agartala on Saturday (28th September, 2024). The Blood Donation programme was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by the Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha and other dignitaries. Aiming to fulfill the crisis of blood in Tripura blood donation camps are going on across the state to meet the shortage of blood. As a part of that, blood donation camps are being organized by Government and Non-Government organizations. According to the information received, a total of 31 blood donors donated blood in the camp.

Addressing the Blood Donation Camp Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said, Vivekananda Byamagar is a traditional gymnasium of the state. The sports heritage of the gymnasium is one to be proud. Many sportspersons of the state have gained fame in different fields. This reputation must be maintained. The Chief Minister also added that the present Government of the State is also serious about the development of the sports sector. Blood donation has now become a festival in the State. People of the State are now coming forward to donate blood more and more.

The welcome speech is being delivered by Narayan Debnath, General Secretary of Vivekananda Gymnasium. Amidst the other distinguished dignitaries there were Hon’ble Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) and MLA Dipak Majumder, Padma Shri awardee Dipa Karmakar, Tripura Sports Council Secretary Sukanta Ghosh, club members and many other dignitaries were present in the programme.
