Mumbai, Maharashtra, 3rd of September, 2026 : The cinematic ties between Bollywood and Australia are set to reach a new milestone. New South Wales Premier Chris Minns visited Sajid Nadiadwala’s office in Mumbai, where discussions were held on strengthening collaboration between Indian cinema and Australia’s screen industry. During the meeting, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment announced that three of its upcoming films will be shot in Australia.
Among the projects, the one generating the most excitement is ‘Heyy Babyy 2’. A portion of the 2007 popular comedy ‘Heyy Babyy’ was filmed in Australia. The return to the country for its sequel creates a special cinematic connection with the original film.
According to Sajid Nadiadwala, Australia’s stunning locations, professional crews and supportive working environment have made a strong impression on his team. Premier Chris Minns, meanwhile, described the collaboration as a major opportunity for the New South Wales screen industry.
The partnership is expected to create employment opportunities for local crews and businesses while also showcasing Australia’s breathtaking landscapes to Indian audiences through the global reach of Bollywood cinema.
