Agartala, Tripura, 30th of August, 2024 : On the night intervening 29th Aug & 30th August 2024, on specific information of BSF, one BD national was apprehended in the area of BOP Kalkalia under District West Tripura while he was trying to enter Indian territory by negotiating the border fence. Apprehended person is resident of Chattogram District of Bangladesh. Questioning is under progress.
In separate operations BSF troops of BOP Karmatila and BOP Samarganj under South Tripura District seized Cigarettes worth 33 lakhs.
BSF has stepped up domination and operation along the border in Tripura to prevent infiltration/ exfiltration and trans border crime .
