Agartala, Tripura, 10th of November, 2024 : On 10th Nov 2024, at about 1900 hrs , 02 BD national was apprehended by BSF troops of BOP Tilabazar under Unakoti district while they were trying to infiltrate in Indian territory by negotiating the IBBFence. Apprehended Bangladeshi national are resident of Sylhet district of Bangladesh.
In another operation BSF troops of BOP Srimatapur under Sepahijela district seized 4000 yaba tablets worth Rs 40 lakhs .
In separate joint operation with Forest Protection Unit , BSF troops of carried out destruction of illegal ganja cultivation near village Vijoy Nagar under PS Sonamura of Sepahijela district. Total 75,000 pre matured plant spread in 15 acres has been destroyed by cutting and burning.
BSF is maintaining a high level of alertness on the international border to prevent infiltration and making optimum efforts to maintain a drug free society
