Agartala, Tripura, 30th of April, 2025 : On 29TH April 2025 at about 1130 hrs, on a specific information, alert BSF troops apprehended 03 Bangladeshi nationals and 02 Indian Nationals (Tout) at Teliamura Railway Station while they were trying to board Agartala – Silchar train. 03 apprehended Bangladeshi nationals are resident of Lakargaon, PS – Chunarugahat, District – Habibganj Division – Sylhet (Bangladesh) , whereas 02 Indian tout are resident of District Khowai (Tripura) and Silchar (Assam) respectively.
In addition alert troops of BSF Tripura in different operations foiled various attempts of trans-border smuggling along the Indo Bangladesh border, and seizes contraband worth ₹ approx 4 lakhs.
BSF has enhanced the surveillance along to border to prevent trans-border crime and infiltration.
