Agartala, 24th of July, 2024 : On 23rd July 2024, based on a specific input, a joint operation with state police was launched. At about 1900 hrs two Bangladeshi were apprehended while trying to cross over into Indian territory in Srinnagar area.
Apprehended BD nationals are identified as, Md Ibrahim, 45 yrs, S/O Sakendas Miah, r/o Vill – Kabir hut, PS – Kabir Rut, Distt- Noa khali and Jamal Miah, 22 yrs, S/O late Abdul Malak, Vill- Akbar Shah, PS- Akbar Shah, Distt- Chittagong After preliminary inquiry both the Bangladeshi were handed over to state police for further legal action.
BSF is cracking down heavily on the illegal migration by Bangladeshi nationals and has stepped up the vigil in close coordination with sister agencies in border area.
