BSF ARRESTS DRUG PEDDLERS WITH NARCOTICS IN JOINT OPERATION

On 17^thJune 2021, on specific intelligence information about stocking of Narcotics / drugs in a house of bordering Village- Paharmura, Police Station– Khowai,  District – Khowai (Tripura), BSF conducted a special joint operation with troops of 80 Bn BSF, 191 Bn BSF and local police. At about 0630 hrs, the joint special operation party carried out thorough search of the target house at Village- Paharmura, Ward No.04, PS & District – Khowai (Tripura) and recovered “993 Nos Yaba Tablets,20.80Gmssuspected Brown Sugar, Indian Currency Rs.61,400/-, 3500 Nos small empty ampules, 02 Nos Laptops, 04 Nos Mobile phones, Maruti Alto K-10 Car bearing Regd. No. TR-01-06 A 0519, 02 Motorcycles worth total seizure amounting toRs.18,18,900/-”. Also arrested 02 suspected persons namely Aparjit Roy (approx. 38Yrs) S/o Ajit Roy and his associate Appu Chandra Das (approx. 26Yrs) S/o Anukul Chandra Das, both resident of Village- Paharmura, PS & District – Khowai, Tripura. The apprehended persons along with the seized items were handed over to Police Station Khowai for further legal action.

Border Security Force has been religiously pursuing its commitment to contribute in making “Tripura – A Drug Free State” by regularly conducting ‘Anti-Narcotics Smuggling Drives’ independently as well as in close association with Tripura Police and other sister agencies.
