BSF Brings Back Indian Workers Stranded In Bangladesh.

Agartala, Tripura, 8th of August, 2024 : For the 17 workers employed by AFCONS Infrastructure Pvt Ltd , engaged in construction of 04 lane road from Akhaura to Kishoreganj ( 52km) , BSF will always be remembered as their savior.

On 07th August 2024, during late evening, Sh Patel Piyush Purusottam Das, IPS, Inspector General, Tripura Frontier BSF received a  call regarding Indian workers needing help .  Due to ongoing unrest in Bangladesh, workers of the company were stranded in their camp at Ramrail, Bangladesh and 17 workers were enroute to ICP Akhaura from BD side and request was made to BSF for facilitating their safe movement through ICP during night. 

A contact was immediately established at Nodal Officer level of BSF and BGB. In a well planned and coordinated operation BSF and BGB acted in tandem displaying synergy. BGB provided help to  the 17  workers of AFCONS  and ensured their safe movement up to the ICP and then ensured customs and immigration clearance late in the night before handing them over to BSF at  ICP Agartala.                  

BSF is not only India’s 1st line of defence but also the 1st responder to all such crisis.
