In the fight against the trans-border smuggling of narcotics articles, the fields Formations of BSF Tripura are regularly conducting operations on the Indo-Bangladesh International Border. In the series of such operations on the intervening night of 09/10 Nov 2021, BSF troops foiled various smuggling bids & successfully seized 650 Nos Yaba Tablets along with 51.3 Kgs Ganja, 39 Btls of Liquor, 18 Btls of Phensedyl / Eskuf Syrup and rescued 03 Cattle heads besides other contraband items having combined value of Rs. 7,79,941/-.
In the intervening night of 09/10 Nov 2021, based on a specific BSF intelligence input, vigilant BSF troops of Border Out Post Kalamchoura, Ex-150 Bn BSF, Gokulnagar seized 650 Nos Yaba Tablets & 24 Kgs Ganja in general area under PS- Kalamchoura, Sub Division- Sonamura, Distt- Sepahijala, Tripura. The seized narcotics have been handed over to PS- Kalamchoura for further course of action.
Beside above, on 09th Nov 2021, based on specific intelligence information, BSF troops of Border Out Post Kamlasagar, Ex-150 Bn BSF, Gokulnagar during joint Operation along with police party of Police Station- Kalamchera, officials of Forest Department Bishalgarh & Excise Department Bishramganj, destroyed approx. 70,000 matured Ganja saplings by cutting, Uprooting & burning, which were cultivated in 23 different plots spread over in the general area of Kamlasagar Tea Garden (Ward No. 18, 20 and 21), Sabar Para, Munda Basti, Siyal Tila & Baghmar.
The BSF troops of Tripura Frontier have been regularly seizing various contraband items in the bordering areas of the State.
