Agartala, Tripura, 8th of November, 2025 : On 8th November 2025, a workshop on “Human Trafficking” was organised at Frontier Headquarters BSF, Salbagan.
Dr. Archana Majumdar, Member, National Commission for Women, presided over the workshop. Shri Aloke Kumar Chakraborty, Inspector General, BSF Tripura Frontier, along with senior BSF officers, Commandants of border-deployed battalions, representatives from the State Women’s Commission and members of the BSF Anti-Human Trafficking Unit attended the event.
During the workshop, various issues related to human trafficking in the state of Tripura were discussed. Appreciating BSF’s role in curbing trans-border crimes, Dr. Archana Majumdar emphasised the need for better coordination among all stakeholders to effectively prevent this menace.
