In the series of Special Operations to thwart the trans-border smuggling activities in State of Tripura, BSF has succeeded in seizing 17 Kgs Ganja, 135 Bottles Phensedyl / Eskuf Syrup & other contraband articles, besides rescued 14 Cattle Head shaving combined value of Rs. 16,55,138/- during various operations along the Indo-Bangladesh International Border in intervening night of 13/14 Nov 2021.
In one of such operation on 13th Nov 2021based on specific intelligence input regarding transportation of contraband items in Bolero Pick-up (TR 07 A 1857) from Bishalgarh general area under Sub Div- Sonamura, Distt- Sepahijala for smuggling purpose, BSF troops of BOP Boxanagar, Ex-150 Bn BSF, Gokulnagar conducted a joint operation with police party of Police Station Kalamchoura. During the joint operation, party intercepted the target vehicle in Laru Bari area on Bishalgarh – Boxanagar Road and seized a consignment comprising of ‘Fire Crackers – 720 Pkt, 250 Kgs Rice and also confiscated Bolero Pick-up (TR 07 A 1857)’. Total seizure value – Rs 11,82,800/-. The seized contraband articles along with their mode of conveyance handed over to Police Kalamchoura on the spot for further legal action.
