The best efforts are being made by the BSF to curb the trans-border smuggling on the Indo-Bangladesh border in Tripura.
On specific intelligence input, on 15th August 2023, vigilant and alert bordermen foiled the smuggling attempt and seized Yaba Tablets 27,800 Nos, Phensedyl 1164 bottles, Cattles 31 heads, vehicle 03 , Mobile 04 having combined seizure value ₹ 1,65,56,416/- and apprehended 05 suspected smugglers in different operations.
All the seized cattles have been handed over to Baba Gorakhnath Goshala Dharmanagar through police. While other seized items and apprehended suspected smugglers have been handed over to police for further investigation and necessary action as per law of the land.
