Mungiakami Police Seized Cannabis Worth Rs.30 Lakhs.  

During the vehicle checking, the police of Mungiakami police station recovered a large quantity of dry Cannabis from the vehicle loaded with bamboo. The driver of the car has been arrested. The incident occurred on the national highway in the 41 mile area under Mungiakami Police Station on Wednesday night at approximately 9:30 PM.

Almost every day, a large amount of illegal cannabis is being smuggled out of the state from different parts of the state. Many times the smuggled cannabis is caught in the police net, sometimes cannabis is easily smuggled by the police. Again, during the smuggling from the state to outside the state, the police recovered about 30 lakh rupees worth of cannabis on last night. It is reported that, on Wednesday night, Teliamura Sub-Divisional Police Officer Prasun Kanti Tripura received cannabis was being smuggled in a lorry loaded with UP 25 FT2322.

Accordingly, the police of Mungiakami police station in the 41 mile area under Mungiakami police station seized the vehicle and conducted a search. The police managed to recover about 320 kg of illegal cannabis hidden under the bush. And the market price will be approximately 30 lakh rupees, said Sub-Divisional Police Officer Prasun Kanti Tripura. The police arrested the driver of the car due to his involvement in smuggling.
