Call For Agitation From Organisational Meeting: Congress State President Delivers Strong Message In Dharmanagar.

Dharmanagar, Tripura, 29th of July 2026 : An organisational review meeting of the North Tripura District Congress Committee was held on Wednesday at the Dharmanagar District Congress Bhavan under the leadership of Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee President Ashish Kumar Saha.The meeting focused on reviewing the district’s organisational status, strengthening booth-level committees, discussing upcoming political programmes, and addressing various public-interest issues. Several district and state Congress leaders participated and shared their views on the organisation’s progress and future strategies.

Interacting with the media TPCC President Ashish Kumar Saha said that the Congress would continue its movement in defence of public interest, as it has done in the past. He alleged that attacks on opposition party workers and supporters have increased across the state and described the recent assault on two Youth Congress workers in Dharmanagar as an attack on democratic values. He strongly condemned the incident and demanded the immediate arrest of those responsible, along with exemplary punishment. He also urged the police and the administration to discharge their duties impartially.

Saha also raised concerns over the NEET question paper leak, stating that such incidents have severely eroded the confidence of students and parents in the country’s education system. He alleged that the future of millions of aspirants had been put at risk and called on the Central Government to ensure greater transparency and accountability in the education system. He demanded strict punishment for those responsible and stronger safeguards to prevent such incidents from recurring.

Among those present at the meeting were District Congress President Nirupam Deb, former District Congress President Digbijoy Chakraborty, office- bearers of the district and state Congress committees, and other party leaders. The meeting concluded with a consensus on expanding public outreach, strengthening booth-level organisational activities, and intensifying movements on various public issues in the coming days.
