Agartala, Tripura, 7th of October 2024 : As part of the nation wide campaign, a one day awareness program on Swachhata Hi Seva was held at Netaji Subhash High School at Purba Jogendranagar in Agartala today under the aegis of the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB). The program was inaugurated by Councilor of Agartala Municipal Corporation Smt Ruma Das along with Shri Kripa Shankar Yadav, Additional DG of the MIB, North East Zone. The aim of the awareness program was to make people aware about the Swachh Bharat Mission and how cleanliness is of utmost importance not only in our life but also in society. In the program, all participants took the Swachhata Pledge and an interactive session.

The program began today in the morning with the cleanliness drive carried out in the marketplace, Auto stand and school premises of Netaji Colony high School, Jogendranagr which was attended by local people, representatives from several media units of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and school students and teachers. The diginatories also planted saplings of different plants in compliance to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s call for “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam”. In the program, Shri Sudipta Kar, the field officer of CBC delivered the welcome speech.

The Program culminated today with the Open Quiz and drawing competition held amongst the school children and the winners were given away prizes.
