Agartala, 8th of May, 2024 : With the initiative of Information & Cultural Affairs Department Government of Tripura celebrated the Birth Anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhawan, Agartala on Wednesday (8th May, 2024). In the presence of many dignitaries Secretary of Information and Cultural Affairs Department Dr. Pradip Kumar Chakraborty has inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp.
Retired Professor Dr. Rabindra Kumar Datta was present as the guest of honour. At the beginning of the program, the Secretary of Information and Cultural Affairs Department along with other guests paid homage their respects the Rabindranath Tagore on the occasion of birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore.
Director of Information and Cultural Affairs Department Bimbisar Bhattacharya delivered the welcome speech on the occasion. The students, artists of various cultural organizations have presented their different kinds of traditional cultural programmes in the programme. Inaugurating the program, the secretary of the Information and Cultural Affairs Department said, Rabindranath Tagore’s literature and career inspire us even today. Retired Professor Dr. Rabindra Kumar Datta also spoke on the occasion. In today’s programme apart from the ICA Secretary, Director of ICA and many other dignitaries were present in the programme.
