Celebration Ceremony Of 10th Annual Judicial Conclave Of Tripura Judicial Academy Under The Aegis Of High Court Of Tripura.

Agartala, 23rd of March 2024 : With the initiative of Tripura Judicial Academy under the aegis of High Court of Tripura 10th Annual Judicial Conclave celebrated at the auditorium of Tripura Judicial Academy, Narsinghgarh, Agartala on Saturday (23rd March, 2024). In The Presence of dignitaries Hon’ble Justice of the Supreme Court Surya Kant has Inaugurated the Annual Judicial Conclave ceremony by lighting the tamp.

Addressing at the 10th Annual Judicial Conclave ceremony, Hon’ble Justice of the Supreme Court Surya Kant said that the role of the judiciary is questioned if cases remain unresolved in the court for a long time. It is the endeavor and responsibility of any judge or court to dispose of cases expeditiously. Necessary steps must be taken by the court. He also emphasized on the settlement of cases through discussion. Judicial officers need to participate in training and awareness programs.

Addressing at the 10th Annual Judicial Conclave ceremony, Hon’ble Chief Justice of Tripura High Court Aparesh Kumar Singh said that today is a historic day as Tripura High Court has completed ten years today. He said that the Tripura High Court is now working vigorously and is disposing of the cases expeditiously. On January 1, 2023, the number of pending cases was 1600. As of yesterday, it has been reduced to 1,170. Many cases are being settled through Lok Adalat.

Hon’ble Justice Arindam Lodh delivered the welcome speech on the occasion. The annual report 2023 of Tripura High Court and the monthly magazine of the Tripura State Legal Services published on the occasion of 10th Annual Judicial Conclave Of Tripura Judicial Academy. Tripura High Court Bar Association President Purushottam Roy Barman, Tripura Bar Council Chairman Ratan Dutta, Advocate General Siddharth Shankar Dey, Chief Secretary JK Sinha, senior advocates of the Supreme Court and many other dignitaries were present in the programme. Director of Tripura Judicial Academy Rishikesh Chakraborty has concluded the ceremony with vote of thanks.
