The “Cost of Silence” report by Quest Global and YouGov has revealed startling findings about pregnancy loss (miscarriage) in the workplace.

According to the report, nearly 78 million working women fear that disclosing a pregnancy loss could negatively impact their career growth or job security. Meanwhile, 70 million women say they may consider leaving their jobs if they do not receive adequate support from their employers during such a difficult time.
Ajit Prabhu, Co-founder and CEO of Quest Global, said, “Pregnancy loss is not just a well-being issue; it is also a workforce and productivity issue. The time has come for workplaces to acknowledge this reality.” This belief forms the foundation of the company’s “Break the Silence” campaign, which aims to bring this sensitive topic into mainstream corporate conversations.
In partnership with YourDOST, Quest Global has also introduced initiatives such as a 24×7 helpline, confidential counseling services, and support circles for affected employees. According to Yumi Clevenger-Lee, Chief Strategy Officer at Quest Global, “Behind every statistic is a woman trying to move forward while carrying her pain in silence. Timely support can make a significant difference in shaping her future.” More than just a corporate initiative, this campaign is emerging as an important social movement aimed at making workplaces more compassionate, inclusive, and humane for women experiencing pregnancy loss.
