Agartala, Tripura, 14th of March 2025 : With the initiative of State Government of Tripura Flagging off ceremony of District Mobile Forensic Vans in front of Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhawan, Agartala on Friday (14th March, 2025). In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha flagged off Five Mobile Forensic Vans today.

Addressing at the Flagging off ceremony of District mobile Forensic Vans Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said that there are now mobile forensic vans in 8 districts of the State. The State Government has been given Rs 3.25 crore by the Union Home Ministry for the purchase of these vans. The Chief Minister thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

The Chief Minister also added that presently the law and order situation in the state is good. However, the conviction rate needs to be increased. In this regard, science-based investigation work is needed. The mobile forensic vans will contribute immensely towards Police’s forensic evidence collection capabilities which in turn would lead to a significant increase in conviction rates in days to come.
Amidst the distinguished dignitaries there were State Director General of Police Amitabh Ranjan, Home Secretary Dr. P. K. Chakraborty, Director General of Police (Intelligence) Anurag Dhankar, Director of Tripura State Forensic Science Laboratory Dr. H. K. Pratihari and may other dignitaries were present in the programme.
