Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha Inaugurates  68th National School Games of Judo Under-17 Years Girls.

Agartala, Tripura, 12th of December, 2024 : With the initiative of Youth Affairs and Sports Department Government of Tripura 68th National School Games of Judo under-17 Years Girls organized at NSRCC, Agartala on Thursday (12th December, 2024). In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp.

Addressing at the Opening ceremony of 68th National School Games of Judo under-17 Years Girls Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said, Judo as a sport embodies the values ​​of mutual respect, perseverance, and support. This sport helps us overcome all kinds of challenges. The School Games Federation of India has entrusted our state with the responsibility of organizing the Under-17 Girls Judo competition of the 68th National School Games. For this, the Chief Minister expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the School Games Federation of India. The Chief Minister also thanked the participants and officials from various states of the country.

Tripura School Sports Board under the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports organizes Judo competitions for boys and girls under the age of 14, 17, 19 from block level to state level. The Department of Youth Affairs and Sports has started 6 Judo training centers in the state. In addition, four centers of Tripura School Sports Board are functioning at Badharghat, Panisagar, Khumulung and NSRCC. The Chief Minister urged everyone, including the contestants and officials coming from different states, to visit various tourist places to enjoy the beauty of the state.

Secretary of Youth Affairs and Sports Department Dr. Pradip Kumar Chakraborty delivered the welcome speech on the occasion. Amidst the other distinguished dignitaries there were Hon’ble Youth Affairs & Sports, Social Welfare & Social Education, Labour Minister Tinku Roy, Padma Shri awardee Dipa Karmakar, and many others dignitaries were remained present in the event.
