Khowai, Tripura, 12th June, 2025 : With the initiative of State Government of Tripura inaugural ceremony of Multiple Development Projects organized at at Baijalbari H.S School Ground under Khowai District on Thursday (12th June, 2025). In the In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated the events.

Addressing at the inaugural ceremony of the events Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said that districts, cities to Panchayats and villages, the State Government is working on infrastructure development. So far this year, various development projects worth Rs 580 crore have been inaugurated across the state. Today, the new Baijalbari police station and the newly built 50-bed tribal hostel in Padmabil Block were formally inaugurated.

The Chief Minister also virtually inaugurated the Block Public Health Units at Mungiakami Primary Health Centre, Tulashikhar Primary Health Centre, Integrated Public Health Laboratory Cubical Chamber at Teliamura Sub-divisional Hospital, newly constructed additional office building in Teliamura Block, newly constructed classrooms at Metharai Reang Bari High School, and newly constructed office building at District Panchayat Resource Centre at Dhalabil in Khowai Block. The cost of construction of these projects was Rs. 8 crore.
The Chief Minister said that under the advice and inspiration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, various development works are being implemented in the state. 54 thousand self-help groups have already been formed to make the people of the state self-reliant. The state government is giving special importance to drinking water connections, construction of houses, toilets, and development of health and education throughout the state. Under the Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Yojana, each family can get free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh. Along with this, the Chief Minister Jan Arogya Yojana has also been launched.

Highlighting the momentous occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Saha remarked that the state government has given special priority to the development of the tribal community. Various projects are being implemented to develop infrastructure in the ADC area. Work is being done to build Anganwadi centers for children, hostels for students, marketing centers to expand business and commerce, etc. 1,400 crore rupees have been allocated for improving the quality of life of the Tribals. An additional 169 crore 82 lakh rupees have been provided in the ADC budget in the last financial year. The Chief Minister said that the state government is working to improve the socio-economic conditions of the people of the state based on the state’s own resources such as agar, rubber, gas, agriculture, etc. She called upon everyone to come forward for this work.
Amidst the distinguished dignitaries participants there were Hon’ble Tribal Welfare, Handloom, Handicrafts & Sericulture, Statistics Minister Bikash Debbarma, MLA Ranjit Debbarma, Rajat Pant, District Magistrate & Collector, and may other distinguished dignitaries were present in the inauguration ceremony today. Aparna Singh Roy (Datta), President of Khowai Zilla Parishad, presided over the event.
