Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha Inaugurates And Laying The Foundation Stone Of Different Development Projects Under Gomati District.

Gomati, Tripura, 15th of December, 2024 : Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of different Development Projects Under Gomati District on Sunday (15th December, 2024).

Addressing the huge gathering Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha  said, the state is working on developing infrastructure in various sectors including communication, education, health and sports. Like other developed states in the country, the government has given priority to developing infrastructure in Tripura as well. The government’s goal is to build a better Tripura.

The Chief minister said that the advice of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the work of building modern infrastructure in the state has started. The State Government has allocated about 7 thousand crore rupees in the budget for the development of infrastructure. He said that there have been many changes in the field of medical services and infrastructure development in the state. Super specialty services are now being provided in 9 subjects at Agartala Government Medical College. A dental college has already been established. Kidney transplants are now being done in the state. Initiatives have also been taken to provide liver transplants at GB Hospital in the coming days

In Udaipur, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone of the Udaipur Municipal Council building, shopping mall and auditorium at a cost of 44 crores. Apart from this, the Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone of the Vigyan Bhawan (“Science Building”) of Netaji Subhash Mahavidyalaya (NSM)  at a cost of 40 crores, the Bichitra Hall and Naya Bhavan of Ramesh School at a cost of 8 crores 51 lakhs, the installation of Synthetic Turf in the Ramesh Higher Secondary School ground at a cost of 5 crores 79 lakhs 87 thousand, the Rajarbag Motor Stand at a cost of 10 crores, the 200 beded Youth Hostel at a cost of 16 crores 24 lakhs 90 thousand and the District Magistrate’s Office building at a cost of 24 crores 20 lakhs. At the event, the Chief Minister virtually inaugurated the newly constructed building of Gamaria Higher Secondary School. The construction of this newly constructed newly building cost 1 crores 87 lakhs 94 thousand.

The Chief Minister also said at the event that the government has taken steps to improve administrative infrastructure. For this purpose, the construction of a multi-storey building has been started in Gorkhabasti, Agartala. The work of bringing all the directorates of the state government under one roof has been started. This will cost Rs 134 crores.

Tarit Kanti Chakma DIstrict Magistrate & Collector, Gomati delivered the welcome speech on the occasion. Hon’ble Finance, Planning & Coordination, Information Technology Minister Pranajit Singha Roy also spoke on the occasion.  Amidst the other distinguished dignitaries there were Hon’ble Youth Affairs & Sports, Social Welfare & Social Education, Labour Minister Tinku Roy, MLA Abhishek Debroy, Secretary of  Youth Affairs and Sports Department Dr. PK Chakraborty, Secretary of Transport Department Uttam Kumar Chakma, Namit Pathak, Superintendent of Police, Gomati, and many others dignitaries were remained present in the programme.  Sabhadhipati of Gomati  Zilla Parishad Debal Debroy  has concluded the ceremony with vote of thanks.​
