Agartala, Tripura, 4th of April 2025 : With the initiative of Information & Cultural Affairs Department, Government of Tripura, Brahmakunda fair committee organized Three days long traditional Brahmakunda fair (Brahmakunda Mela) at Simna, Mohanpur Sub-Division, West Tripura on Friday (4th April, 2025). In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated the 3 days long traditional Brahmakunda fair today.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony of Three days long traditional Brahmakunda fair Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said that a wonderful blend of cultures of people from different castes and tribes is revealed through various fairs. The present Government of the state has taken various steps to enhance all these fairs. Through the development of various traditional fairs in the state. The traditional culture and heritage of the state will be developed and enriched. The Chief Minister said that the State Government has given special importance to the development of all the areas where various fairs are organized by the center. Not only is the beauty of the state increasing with the focus on religious places, but the tourism industry is also developing.
Chief Minister also added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also taken steps to develop religious places as tourist centers. The Prime Minister, special importance has been given to the development of various religious places in Tripura. Stressing the importance of maintaining the unity and solidarity of the state, the Chief Minister said, the present Government is a people’s government. Various projects are being implemented for the welfare of the people. People are enjoying the benefits of these.
Hon’ble Minister of State Brishaketu Debbarma delivered the welcome speech at the event. Amidst the distinguished dignitaries participants there were Director of Information and Cultural Affairs Department Bimbisar Bhattacharya, Executive Member of Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) Rabindra Debbarma, Hezamara BAC Chairman Sunil Debbarma, Chairman of Mohanpur Panchayat Samiti Rakesh Deb, Member of West Tripura Zilla Parishad Joyalal Das, Chairman of Tripura Tea Development Project Samir Ranjan Ghosh, and many other dignitaries were present in the celebration ceremony. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by West Tripura District Magistrate & Collector Dr.Vishal Kumar.
