Sabroom, Tripura, 20th of June, 2025 : State Government of Tripura inaugural ceremony of Multiple Development Projects organized at Sabroom under South Tripura District on Friday (20th June, 2025). In the In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated the events.
Today, the Chief Minister inaugurated 19 development projects worth Rs 32 crore in South Tripura district. The Chief Minister inaugurated these 19 projects virtually by pressing a remote button.
Addressing at the inaugural ceremony of the events Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said that real development is not only infrastructural development but also human resource development. The current State Government is working in that direction. Along with various infrastructure development, the Government is also giving special importance to human resource development.
“Development work is going on across the State. Many more development projects are waiting to be inaugurated. The foundation stone of several development projects has been laid. The state Government is doing all the development work with the aim of building a developed India of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Together we will build a prosperous India. Education, health, communication, fire stations, office buildings etc. are being built for the purpose of development. Development work is being done through transparency.” Chief Minister said.
Highlighting the momentous occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Saha remarked that till June this year, development works worth 612 crore rupees have been inaugurated in the State. This includes New School Buildings, School Renovations, Office Construction, Health Buildings, etc. In terms of development, the most importance is being given to education. In addition, more importance is being given to the development of the Tribals of the State. 1400 crore rupees are being spent on the development of the Tribals. There has been tremendous development in the health sector in the State. 9 super specialty departments have been started. Doctors from outside the state are also coming to the state.
“Providing medical services. Employment has been given the highest priority. 19 thousand Government jobs have been created through transparency. Another 5 thousand jobs have been created through other means. 56 thousand self-help groups have been formed in the state. The government is working with great importance for the development of women. Lakhpati Didi , Namo Drone Didi have been created and they are being trained.“, Chief Minister added.
The Chief Minister also added that Employment opportunities are being increased by giving importance to pineapple and fruit cultivation, rubber gardens, fisheries, animal husbandry, tourism. Along with this, development activities like establishing new hospitals, fisheries colleges, Dhamma Dipa International Buddhist University (DDIBU), establishing nursing and paramedical colleges, establishing open universities, establishing educational institutions, etc. are going on extensively in the State. The law and order situation in the state has also improved a lot.
Addressing at the inauguration ceremony Hon’ble Cooperative Minister Shukla Charan Noatia said that the Chief Minister has paid special attention to the development of the southern district. He thanked the Chief Minister for inaugurating various development projects for the socio-economic development of the district.
Chief Minister today also inaugurated the newly constructed building of the 100-bed student hostel of Sabroom GIRLS H.S SCHOOL . At the event, he handed over Ayushman Card to two citizens and voter identity cards to two new voters.
Amidst the other distinguished dignitaries there were South Tripura Zilla Sabhadipati Dipak Datta, Chairperson of Sabroom Nagar Panchayat Rama Poddar (De), Social Activist, Dipayan Chowdhury, former MLA Shankar Roy, District Administration ; DM, Muhammad Sajad P and many other distinguished dignitaries were present in the event.
