Panisagar, 2nd of July, 2024 : With the initiative of Education department Government of Tripura has been organized inauguration ceremony of District Institution for Education and Training at Jalbasa, Panisagar on Tuesday (2nd July, 2024). The Newly Constructed Building of District Institution for Education and Training was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by the Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha and other dignitaries.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony of DIET, Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said that Education is the highest priority area of the Government. The Government is working to promote quality education and develop educational infrastructure in the State. Educationists are also being consulted on how to improve the education system. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visionary thinking has improved the education system in the country. A new national education policy has been launched in the country by the hands of the Prime Minister. This national education policy has been made keeping in mind the social system, tradition and culture of the country. 4 crore 40 lakh rupees have been spent on the construction of this newly built diet college. Under the Vidyajyoti scheme and Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, 3 crore 16 lakh rupees have been spent on the construction of the newly constructed two-storied building of this school.

The Chief Minister also added that in the financial year 2023-24, the Central Government has allocated 1 lakh 12 thousand 899 crores for the education sector, which is about 14 percent more than in the financial year 2020-21. 14,500 schools in India have been converted into PMShri schools. 27,360 crores will be spent on these schools in the next 5 years. A scheme called ‘Vidya Pravesh‘ has been launched to make children interested in education through sports. Digital infrastructure for knowledge sharing is in place. A project called Understanding of Lifelong Learning for All in Society (ULLAS) has been launched. In this project, among the boys and girls of the age of 15 years and above, who are away from the light of education, they will be brought to the arena of education. The Chief Minister said that teachers also need to be trained for the promotion of quality education and good results of students in examinations. Diet College has a special role in this regard.

Amidst the other distinguished dignitaries there were MLA Binay Bhushan Das, MLA Jadab Lal Nath, North Tripura Zilla Parishad President Bhabatosh Das, North Tripura District, District Magistrate and Collector Debapriya Bardhan, Nipendra Chandra Sharma, Director of Education Department, Raval Hamendra Kumar, Special Secretary of Education (School) Department and many other dignitaries were present in the event.
