Chief Minister Dr.Manik Saha Invites Patanjali Yogpeeth Delegation To Support Development Of Tripura’s Potential Sectors.

Agartala, Tripura, 5th of June, 2025 :  Among the different states in the country, Tripura has emerged a a frontrunner. With respect to Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) and per capita income, Tripura holds a significant position among the northeastem states. Leveraging its promising sectors, the State is progressing toward comprehensive development. During a meeting at the Secretariat on Wednesday (4th June, 2025) with a three-member delegation from Patanjali Yogpeeth (Trust), led by General Secretary Acharya Balkrishna, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha made these remarks. He emphasized that Tripura, enriched with natural resources and archaeological heritage, possesses immense potential for development. The state features several tourist attractions, including the Mata Tripura Sundari Temple in Udaipur, Narikelkunja in Dumbur, Unakoti, and Chabimura, which continue to attract visitors from across the country and abroad. Furthermore, Tripura has seen significant improvements in its connectivity infrastructure, while the law-and-order situation remains stable and progressive.

The Chief Minister urged the Patanjali Yogpeeth delegation to actively assist in developing the state’s promising sectors. During the discussion, Acharya Balkrishna expressed a keen interest in contributing to the overall development of Tripura’s potential sectors. He highlighted his desire to work in areas such as agriculture, religious tourism, information technology, and skill development training in the state. Additionally, he proposed establishing a Yoga and Wellness Center and a Biodiversity Park in Tripura. He also suggested organizing a large-scale religious conference in the state.

Senior officials present at the meeting included R.K. Samal, Principal Secretary of the Forest Department, Dr. P.K. Chakraborty, Secretary to the Chief Minister, Kiran Gitte, Secretary of the Health and Family Welfare Department, Abhishek Singh, Secretary of the Urban Development Department, Apurba Roy, Secretary of the Finance Department; Dr. K. Shashikumar, Secretary of the Tribal Welfare Department; and U.K. Chakma, Secretary of the Tourism Department, among others.
