Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha Lays Foundation Stone And Ground Worship For Development Of 51- Shakti Peetha Park.

Agartala, Tripura, 13th of July 2025 : With the initiative of State Government of Tripura the foundation stone laying ceremony and ground worship for Development of 51- Shakti Peetha Park organized at Banduar, Udaipur, Gomati District on Sunday (13th July, 2025). In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha laid the foundation stone and ground worship of the New 51- Shakti Peetha Park.

Addressing at the foundation stone laying ceremony and ground worship for Development of 51- Shakti Peetha Park Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said “Today will be a memorable day for the people of Tripura. A world-famous spiritual tourism center, 51- Shakti Peetha Park, will be built at Banduar, Matabari, Udaipur. Devotees from all over the country and abroad will come here to visit the attraction of this park. “ The Chief Minister said at the event that according to mythology, the dismembered remains of Daksha Kanya and Shiva Jaya Maa Sati fell in 51 places in the Indian subcontinent. 51 holy Shakti Peetha have been built in these places. With the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a 51 Shakti Peetha park is going to be built in Banduwar, Dhanya Matabari, with the blessings of Mother Tripura Sundari, one of the 51 Shakti Peethas on the world tourism map. This park will have replicas of 51 Shakti Peethas. These 51 Shakti Peetha park will be built under the initiative of the Tourism Department. The cost for this will be about 97.70 crore.

The Chief Minister said at the event that under the guidance and inspiration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the work of setting up 51 51- Shakti Peethas Parks will start in Banduar. The Chief Minister thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for this. It is not possible for a person to visit all 51 Shakti Peeths of Sati in his entire life. But if you come to Banduar in Udaipur, it will be possible. The Chief Minister said that the state government is giving priority to the development of the tourism industry. The expansion and development of this industry will give impetus to the socio-economic development of the state. Employment opportunities will be created for the unemployed directly and indirectly. The state’s GDP will increase. The inflow of foreign exchange will also increase. The Chief Minister said that transport is linked to tourism. As a result, the socio-economic development of the workers associated with the transport industry will also increase. The sale of handicrafts and handicrafts produced in the state will increase.

“This park will also play an important role in the development of art, culture and heritage of the ethnic and tribal groups of the state. The Chief Minister expressed the hope that one day the name of Banduwar will spread across the country and the world due to the 51- Shakti Peetha Park. Banduwar will become a place of great unity. The largest Nataraja statue in India will be installed in this park. The Chief Minister said that the communication system of the state has improved immensely. The communication between the state and other states through air, rail and road is now very good. As a result, tourists now do not have to face any difficulty in travelling.” Chief Minister added.

Highlighting on the event, the Chief Minister remarked that,  the main goal of the current state government is development. From January to July, the foundation stone of projects worth about 674 crore rupees has been laid. Development work is going on in all sectors such as education, health, communication, drinking water, rural development. Self-help groups are working to make women self-reliant. Currently, there are about 56 thousand self-help groups in the state. As a result, women are becoming self-reliant. Employment opportunities are also increasing.

The Chief Minister also added that the State Government has laid emphasis on eco-tourism. For this purpose, importance has been given to the maintenance and infrastructure development of the Roya, Trishna, Sepahijala sanctuaries. Eith modern facilities have been constructed for the accommodation of tourists in Tepania Eco Park, Narkelkunja, and Chabimura. The arrival of foreign tourists in the State is increasing day by day. The State Government has taken initiatives for the development of Kasba Kali Bari Temple, Amarpur Chandibari Temple, Fourteen Goddess Temple, and archaeological tourist centers.

Hon’ble Finance, Information Technology Minister Pranajit Singha Roy as special guest, today at the  the foundation stone laying ceremony and ground worship for Development of 51- Shakti Peetha Park. Addressing the gathering,  The Finance Minister said that to add a new dimension to Tripura’s tourism map, 51- Shakti Peetha Park are being built at the initiative of the Tourism Department in Banduar, Udaipur. In the coming days, this pilgrimage site will take Tripura to a unique height. This pilgrimage site will become a meeting place for religious, cultural and spiritual consciousness. Many religious people from home and abroad will come here. The Finance Minister further said that this 51- Shakti Peetha Park will also play a role in improving the socio-economic standards of the people living in the Banduar area.

Director of Director, Tourism  Prashant Badal Negi, delivered the welcome speech at the event. Matabari Panchayat Samiti Chairperson Shilpi Das presided over the event. Amidst the distinguished dignitaries participants there were Hon’ble Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport and Tourism minister Sushanta Chowdhury, MLA Abhishek Debroy, Sabhadhipati of Gomati  Zilla Parishad Debal Debroy,  MLA Ram Pada Jamatia, MLA Jitendra Majumdar, DIstrict Magistrate & Collector, Gomati  District Rinku Lather, Superintendent of Police Bijay Debbarma and many other dignitaries were present in the laying foundation ceremony.
