Agartala, Tripura, 18th of May, 2025 : With the initiative of State Government of Tripura foundation stone laying ceremony of Civil Service Officers’ Institute organized at Kunjaban, Agartala Tripura on Sunday (18th May, 2025). In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha laid the foundation Stone for Construction of Civil Service Officers’ Institute organized at Kunjaban, Agartala, Tripura.

Addressing at the foundation stone laying ceremony of Civil Service Officers’ Institute Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said that Officers have an important role in properly implementing the public welfare projects of the government, in taking the state forward through the implementation of various programs and in serving the people. People remember the work of civil service officers. It is necessary to be responsible towards one’s work. One must fulfill one’s duties with transparency at the right time. Only by working in this way will it be possible to take the government’s public welfare projects to every person.
The Chief Minister said that India’s first Home Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel had called the officers associated with the administration the ‘steel frame of India’. This statement is quite realistic. Because it is only due to the responsible efforts of officers at all levels that it is possible to reach the people of the marginalized areas of the state administration. In this context, the Chief Minister mentioned the successful organization of the NEC plenary session in Tripura and the impeccable role of civil service officers in the terrible floods in the state in August last year.

“Civil service officers have a great opportunity to work for the people. The current State Government has given everyone a chance to work with transparency. The womens of the state are also now working with equal efficiency in the administrative field. At present, there are 59 IAS officers, 42 IPS officers, 40 IFS officers in the state, besides many officers working in various departments. In addition, 470 TCS officers, 152 TPS officers and 50 TFS officers are working in the state.”, Chief Minister added.
At the event Chief Minister said that the foundation stone laying of this new house is a milestone for the civil service officers. Once this building is constructed, it will be very helpful for the officers and their families in various social and cultural fields. Besides, the relationship with each other will also be strengthened due to such initiatives. Civil service officers will be attracted to work more in the state. He said that the efficiency and relentless working mentality of the officers have now set an example in the state and the entire country.

The Chief Minister also added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also working for the development of the North Eastern region. Therefore, everyone should come forward to make Ek Tripura Shreshtha Tripura and Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat. The Chief Minister congratulated the civil service officers for their sincere efforts for the overall development of the state and for great initiatives like today’s blood donation. Before the program began, the Chief Minister visited the blood donation camp and encouraged the blood donors.
Secretary of Good Governance Department Kiran Gitte delivered the welcome address at the foundation stone laying ceremony of Civil Service Officers’ Institute. Amidst the distinguished dignitaries participants there were State Director General of Police (DGP) Anurag Dhankar and may other distinguished dignitaries were present in the ceremony.
