Agartala, Tripura, 18th of September, 2026 : As part of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, a blood donation camp was organized at Pragna Bhavan, initiated by the 15 Tripura Battalion NCC in collaboration with the West Tripura District Magistrate’s office on Thursday (17th September, 2026). Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, along with other dignitaries, visited the camp and encouraged blood donors.
Speaking to reporters afterward, the Chief Minister noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi first took charge as Chief Minister of Gujarat on October 7, 2001, and later became Prime Minister of the country. To mark this historic 25-year milestone of his public service, the state government has undertaken a month-long series of programs from today until October 17. As part of this, blood donation camps are being organized at various locations across the state today, observed as Seva Divas. In the evening, lamps will be lit at various important locations across the state as part of the ‘Ashirwad Ka Diya’ program. This blood donation camp was organized as part of the same initiative, with support from the West Tripura District Magistrate’s office. The Chief Minister urged all residents of the state to participate in this month-long program undertaken by the state government.

Among others present at today’s event were MP Rajib Bhattacharya, West Tripura Zilla Parishad’s officiating Sabhadhipati Biswajit Shil, Health Department Secretary Kiran Gitte, West Tripura District Magistrate Dr. Vishal Kumar, Director of the Information & Cultural Affairs Department Bimbisar Bhattacharya, along with various officials of the Health Department and NCC.
