Agartala,Tripura, 4th of December, 2025 : The vibrant spirit of discipline, unity, and patriotism came alive today at the Tripura Institute of Technology (TIT), Narsingarh, as the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tripura, Dr. Manik Saha, inaugurated the highly anticipated Tripura NCC Fest 2025.

Addressing a gathering of enthusiastic cadets, officials, and students, the Chief Minister termed the National Cadet Corps (NCC) not merely as an organization but as a “movement” pivotal to nation-building.

Key Highlights of the Inauguration

1. A Walk Down Memory Lane

In a heartfelt address, Dr. Saha reminisced about his own days as an NCC cadet. He shared that he joined the NCC in 1970 while in Class 11, calling it the “foundation” of his character.

“Whatever I have learnt from there, I am not going to forget… The way NCC cadets are getting benefits now, earlier we did not receive such things,” the Chief Minister remarked, urging the new generation to take full advantage of the opportunities provided by the Corps.

2. Discipline as the Cornerstone

Emphasizing the critical role of discipline in youth development, Dr. Saha drew a powerful analogy:

“Indiscipline always works like a magnet; it attracts people, but NCC will help people to remain disciplined.”

3. Vision for a ‘Viksit Bharat’

Aligning the event with the national vision, the Chief Minister praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for instilling a renewed sense of patriotism in society. He noted that when youth wear the khaki uniform, they rise above caste, creed, and religion—a transformation essential for achieving a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India).

4. Showcasing Potential

The Fest is designed to bridge the gap between uniformed services and civil society. Dr. Saha observed that the bright faces of the cadets reassured him that “the future of Tripura is in safe and capable hands.” He highlighted that while not all cadets may become soldiers, the training prepares them to be leaders in any field they choose.

Arrival & Guard of Honour: The Chief Minister was accorded a ceremonial Guard of Honour by the cadets of the 13 Tripura Battalion NCC upon his arrival at the TIT campus.

Inauguration of Stalls: Following the formal lighting of the lamp, the Chief Minister inaugurated various stalls set up by the cadets. These included exhibits on Disaster Management, Health Awareness, Drug abuse, Handicrafts, and a “Know Your NCC” section designed to educate visitors about the Corps’ activities.

The event was attended by Special Secretary Raval Hamendra Kumar, senior NCC officials, ANOs and faculty members of TIT, all of whom witnessed the grooming of Tripura’s youth into responsible citizens.

The Tripura NCC Fest 2025 stands as a landmark celebration, reinforcing the state’s commitment to youth empowerment and national service. The NCC Alumni Association of Tripura organised a blood donation camp today where 11 members donated blood as a commitment towards NCC fraternity. Being an NCC alumnus, CM interacted with the alumni members and wished them success in their endeavours
