Kamalpur 30th of January, 2024 : A Civic action programme was conducted by 119 Bn BSF on 30th January 2023 at Nabakrishna Choudhary para S B school, in AOR of Bop Lakhancheri, Kamalpur, District Dhalai for the benefit of the civilian population living in the surrounding border area. A free medical camp was also organized in coordination with the PHC kamalpur in which free health checkup & medicines were distributed to the patients. More than 215 civilians benefited from the medical camp. Reputed Civil officials, civil population and villagers attended/witnessed the programme.
BSF is committed to promote the schools, Sports club functioning in the border areas. During this Civic action programme Wooden tables, Almirah, White board, Pedestal Fans, Carrom board, Stationary items, Football, Football net, Volleyball, Volleyball net & Emergency solar light etc were distributed to promote Schools and sports Clubs functioning in the surrounding area of BOP Lakhanchari ,Rangichera FWD, Rakesh, Joshi tilla and krishnatilla.
The program was inaugurated by Sh Suraj Singh Negi Commandant 119 Bn BSF. The gesture of BSF was appreciated by local population.
