Dharmanagar, Tripura, 27th of February, 2026 : A clash broke out between the families of two brothers at Ward No. 5 under Bagan Gram Panchayat, within the jurisdiction of Churaibari Police Station, over a dispute related to residential land. Several members from both sides reportedly sustained minor injuries in the incident. Meanwhile, tension has mounted after a 15-year -old boy went missing following the altercation.

According to family sources, Achiya Begum, wife of the younger brother Selim Uddin, was allegedly assaulted by Khaleda Begum, wife of the elder brother Riaz Uddin, along with their daughter Suhana Begum. It has also been alleged that Selim Uddin’s 15-year-old son, Samaj Uddin, was physically assaulted during the incident.Further allegations state that Riaz Uddin and his son Jaber Uddin later vandalized Selim Uddin’s house. Selim Uddin was reportedly not present at home at the time of the incident. Several individuals from both families sustained minor injuries in the clash.Since the incident, Samaj Uddin has reportedly been missing, causing anxiety among family members.A written complaint has been lodged at Churaibari Police Station, and police have visited the spot and initiated an investigation.Local sources also claim that apart from the land dispute, political differences between the two brothers may have further fueled the tension.
