Dharmanagar, Tripura, 3rd of June 2026 : On the occasion of World Environment Day, a special cleanliness drive was organized at Anandabazar by the Jubarajnagar R.D. Block in North Tripura district. The programme was held under the theme “Clean Villages, Secure Climate”, with a strong focus on raising public awareness about environmental conservation and cleanliness.

Participants in the campaign urged people to abandon unhygienic practices and maintain cleanliness in their surroundings. Speakers highlighted that if every village becomes clean and well-maintained and government institutions are kept tidy, it will be possible to build a healthy and progressive society. They emphasized that a clean and healthy environment can only be ensured through collective efforts.
Among those present at the programme were former MLA of Jubarajnagar constituency Malina Debnath, Chairperson of the Jubarajnagar Panchayat Samiti Aparna Sinha, Jubarajnagar Block BDO Prasenjit Malakar, along with various officials, public representatives, and local residents.
The cleanliness drive generated considerable enthusiasm among the local community. Organizers stated that such initiatives would continue in the future to spread the message of environmental protection and cleanliness and to encourage greater public participation in building a sustainable environment.
