Agartala, Tripura, 26th of June, 2025 : The Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC-53) for approximately 500 NCC Senior Div / Junior Div and Senior Wing / Junior Wing cadets of entire Tripura state shall be conducted from 25th June 2025 to 04th July 2025 at Saheed Bhagat Singh Youth Hotel, Agartala. It is basically aimed at cadets of second and third year NCC who are eligible for ‘B’ and ‘C’ certificates and also for cadets from Schools who are eligible for ‘A’ Certificate.

Welcome address for the camp will be delivered by Col C Rajashekar Commanding Officer 13 Tripura NCC Bn on 26th June between 11 am to 11.45 am. The Chief Guest for the programme will be Mr Cairy Marak, IPS, IG. The primary focus of this camp is on implementation of “Yuva Aapda Mitra Scheme” as per MoU signed between the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and the State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) with collaboration of NCC unit of the State apart from basic military training, guest lectures on important topics, various competitions, felicitations, good will gestures, cultural competitions, etc. It is targetted to impart YAMS Training to 800 NCC cadets of Tripura in two phases. Each NCC volunteer will be awarded with a certificate, Emergency Reaction Kit (ERK) and comprehensive insurance for three years after successful completion of the YAMS training.
“Yuva Aapda Mitra Scheme” intends to train 2, 37, 326 youth volunteers from NCC, NSS, NYKS, BS&G in the field of disaster preparedness and responses in 315 most disaster prone districts across all 28 states and for training of 1300 trained Aapda Mitra Volunteers as Master Trainers (ToTs) by 31st March 2026.
