Dharmanagar, Tripura, 10th of August, 2026 : Following allegations of alleged anti-social activities surrounding Babumoshai Hotel-cum-Restaurant located on DNV Road in Dharmanagar town, hotel owner Probal Dey has filed a complaint at Dharmanagar Police Station. In the complaint filed on Sunday, August 9, three individuals have been accused of entering the hotel premises without permission, using abusive language, issuing threats, and attempting to tarnish the hotel’s reputation by making false allegations.
According to the complaint, on the night of August 8, several individuals allegedly entered one of the hotel rooms without permission. The complainant alleged that they subsequently abused the hotel authorities and accused the establishment of being involved in illegal anti-social activities. The complaint also states that an argument took place between the individuals and the hotel manager over the matter.
The complainant further alleged that false information was subsequently circulated through the media with an intention to damage the reputation of the hotel and his family. He also claimed that they were living in fear following alleged threats to shut down the hotel.
Two individuals have been mentioned as witnesses in the complaint. The hotel authority has appealed for a proper investigation into the incident and appropriate legal action.
Dharmanagar Police have reportedly begun an investigation into the matter. However, the veracity of the allegations raised in the complaint will become clear only after the investigation is completed.
