Strategic Capacity Development By SIPARD under World Bank-Funded TRESP.

Agartala, Tripura, 30th of June, 2025 : State Institute of public administration and Rural Development (SIPARD), a support agency of the World Bank funded TRESP project. The core responsibility of SIPARD involves training of Govt. officials in the ADC block specially 23 operational blocks under Tripura Rural Economic Growth and Service Delivery Project (TRESP). World Bank has given concurrence on 4 modules and accordingly SIPARD has started their training activities for line department officials in order to strengthen the service delivery resources of the State specially in ADC areas across 8 eight districts.

As on date SIPARD has organised 6 batches of various training like office procedure and file management, community forest rights Act, MS office and social audit. As many as 157 officials have been trained in the month of June 2025.Very recently SIPARD has devised training manual for model Village and shared with world bank for their technical approval . Previously SIPARD has prepared 11 training modules and shared with world bank which is under revision .In the initial phase , SIPARD has organised 131 TRESP officials.

The DM& Collectors of the respective districts nominating the participants for each programme from among the line department officials like ARDD , Fishery, Agriculture, Horticulture, secondary education, PWD etc.in the tribal dominated blocks.

Since 2024-25, SIPARD has received Rs. 54 lakhs from TRESP to expedite capacity building activities of the service provider govt. Institutes in the ADC areas . A total of 17 training course targeted to impart the govt. Officials at different level for enhancement of work efficiency of Govt. staff involved in implementing the world bank funded TRESP Project in Tripura . In this way, SIPARD will continue to organise the training programme under TRESP with active support of the project Director, TRESP .
