CPIM Deputation To Khowai District Magistrate And District Superintendent Of Police.

Khowai, Tripura, 19th of March, 2025 : With the initiative of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), Khowai Sub-divisional Committee a memorandum was submitted to the Khowai District Magistrate and District Superintendent of Police on Wednesday (19th March, 2025) at 2pm. A memorandum was submitted to the Khowai District Magistrate and a memorandum was submitted to the District Superintendent of Police with five demands related to public interest.

The demands to the District Magistrate are that the arrears of MGNREGA wages of the three blocks in the Khowai subdivision area should be paid immediately. There is a shortage of drinking water in the dry season Padmabil and Tulasikhar block areas. Drinking water should be provided immediately. Farmers’ crops are damaged due to high-power night-time electric lights in the international border area. Measures should be taken to prevent crop damage. Barbed wire fences should be repaired.

On the other hand, five demands were made to the District Superintendent of Police and the demands were, legal action should be taken against drug dealers, drug dealers should be identified and punished under the law, a group of Bangladeshis came across the border and a group of thieves stole cows. It is recommended to strengthen night patrols. CPIM Khowai Subdivision Secretary and MLA Nirmal Biswas, District Secretary Padma Kumar Debbarma and others were present at the memorandum presentation event.
