“Cycle Rally” Agartala To Kolkata : Border Security Force (BSF).

Border Security Force, besides performing the primary task of safeguarding & defending the Frontiers of the Country round the clock, is also actively involved in conducting activities which promote solidarity and sportsmanship.

Sumit Sharan, IPS, IG BSF Tripura Frontier flagged off ‘Cycle Rally’ at ICP, Agartala on Tuesday (1st November, 2022). The ‘Cycle Rally’ will run from ICP, Agartala along the entire border of Tripura to M&C Frontier Meghalaya, Guwahati, North Bengal, South Bengal will be terminating on 12th Dec 2022 at Tagorevilla, Kolkata. The objective of this ‘Cycle Rally’ is to promote the spirit of comradeship, and sportsmanship among the troops & strengthen the bond between the border population and enhance mutual cooperation, coordination and trust thereby creating a sense of security and confidence amongst the border population.

The flag-off Ceremony of the Cycle Rally along with various other programs has organized at the above location en-route to give a rousing welcome to the Cyclists by BSF, Civil dignitaries & local populace.

The Cycle Rally will be covering approx. 421 Km in the State of Tripura subsequently, the rally will be crossing over to M&C Frontier on 07th Nov 2022. BSF Tripura with the support of local civil administration and the general public is determined to make this ‘Cycle Rally’ a great success.
