Mumbai, Maharashtra, 18th of September, 2026 : Every big story starts with a small moment. Harshita Raj’s story begins much the same way – with a girl who turned on her camera in her living room and started posting dance reels, with no idea that the same passion would one day take her to one of Bollywood’s biggest stages.
In the beginning, it was simply a way for Harshita to express herself. Filming reels, practicing steps, and pushing each video to be a little better than the last became part of her everyday routine. Slowly, her dance videos began catching people’s attention, and the views started climbing into the millions.
Then came the turning point that changed everything – the Dance Mania contest. Harshita won it, and the prize was something she had probably never imagined: a chance to perform live on stage at IIFA, alongside Bollywood star Nora Fatehi.

“That moment with Nora on stage changed everything for me,” Harshita recalls. “It gave me the confidence to keep putting myself out there, and I think that’s what people have connected with since.”
The clip of that performance soon went viral among her followers, racking up millions of views. But Harshita’s story didn’t stop there. After IIFA, she kept up the momentum – rolling out fresh Bollywood dance covers, dialogue-based reels, and choreography inspired by leading Hindi film actors, steadily winning over more fans along the way. Some of her videos have since crossed 17 million, 22 million, and 5 million views.
And now, after months of consistent effort, Harshita has hit a new milestone – crossing 100,000 followers on Instagram (@iamharshitaraaj).
“I’m really proud and happy, but this is just the beginning for me – there’s a lot more to come,” Harshita says. “I’ve stayed consistently focused on my profile, and today, because of that, I’ve hit the target of 100K-plus followers.”
A journey that began in the corner of a living room has now reached millions of screens. And for Harshita, this isn’t the end of the road – it’s a new beginning. She’s already looking ahead to collaborations with fellow creators and choreographers, along with more original content in the months to come.
