Dharmanagar, Tripura, 28th of June 2026 : A daring theft at Anika Jewellery, located on the busy B.K. Road in Dharmanagar, North Tripura, has created a stir among local residents and the business community.
Miscreants allegedly stole several gold ornaments from the jewellery shop, with the shop owner estimating the preliminary loss to be worth several lakhs of rupees.According to reports, the entire incident was captured on the shop’s CCTV cameras. The footage clearly shows the suspect’s movements and the act of theft.
Following the incident, the shop owner lodged a complaint at Dharmanagar Police Station.The proprietor stated that the CCTV footage has been handed over to the police. Based on the footage, police have reportedly identified the accused and have launched a search operation to apprehend the suspect.The incident, which occurred in one of the town’s busiest commercial areas, has raised concerns among local traders. Business owners have urged the authorities to strengthen security measures in the town to prevent such incidents in the future.
